In creating the new Denali’s driving environment, GMC’s designers began by specifying clear analogue gauges and logical controls, all positioned in accordance with the best ergonomic principles. Then, with the essentials in place, they painstakingly refined every detail to create an atmosphere of sophistication and well-being. Power pedals, 1 2-way power seat adjustments, a tri-zone automatic climate control system and a wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel are all standard equipment. For even more luxury, a heated steering wheel is also available. And for those occasions when you venture into unfamiliar territory, the available DVD navigation system can guide you, corner by corner, to your destination .

With new, more rigid frames, wider front and rear tracks and even more standard V8 power, the 2008 Yukon and Yukon XL possess all the impressive capability you expect in a full-size GMC sport-utility vehicle. But that’s only part of the picture. As a result of GMC’s innovative engineering, they also outperform their predecessors in terms of safety, ride comfort, fuel efficiency and sheer driving pleasure. In the process, the new Yukon and Yukon XL set a higher standard for every other SUV maker in the world.
On the inside, the new Yukon and Yukon XL are stylish, roomy, quiet and extremely comfortable vehicles. Support ive seating for as many as nine occupants is available on Yukon models and standard on Yukon XL. The climate control system is a tri-zone design that allows the driver, front passenger and rear passengers to maintain their own preferred temperatures. Yukon and Yukon XL also offer available heated seats in both the first and second rows – a feature no other vehicle in this class can match.

With a new family of Generation IV Vortec V8 engines, the 2008 Yukons have the muscle you need to tackle your biggest challenges. Two versions of the Vortec 5300 V8 are available on Yukon and Yukon XL 1500 models, including a Flex Fuel engine capable of running on up to 85% ethanol fuel. To handle even heavier loads, Yukon XL 2500 models are powered by a Vortec 6000 V8. Then there are the top - of the - line Denali models, which feature an awesome 380 - horsepower Vortec 6200 V8 with variable valve timing (VVT). The trailer towing ratings of the new Yukons are equally impressive, topping out at a whopping 4400 kg (9700 lb. ). Best of all, not only are these advanced Vortec V8s more powerful than earlier engines, they’re more economical, too. It’s an irresistible combination.

In addition to being the most advanced full-size SUVs we’ve ever built, the 2008 Yukons are also the safest. Their premium power train, suspension and braking systems all help you avoid collisions whenever possible. And should a crash occur, your Yukon protects you with a heavily reinforced body structure, dual frontal air bags and available head curtain side-impact air bags for all outboard seating positions.
