Its standard equipment includes a 171 horsepower 2.4L ECOTEC engine, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch aluminum wheels – and an attitude that says, “Bring it on.”

NO CAFFEINE REQUIRED. Yes, we equipped the Pursuit cockpit with cupholders. What we’ve discovered, though, is that once you take the wheel, your need for coffee usually disappears without a trace.

Pursuit’s cleanly styled analogue gauges tell you everything you need to know at just a glance, and its well-placed, intelligently designed controls help keep you firmly in charge in every situation. We made extensive use of Quiet Steel and other sound-deadening techniques, to eliminate noise and keep the Pursuit cabin quiet. And we specified a long list of standard and available amenities, including air conditioning, a tilt steering column, leather-appointed seating surfaces and a choice of quality sound systems and the convenience and security of OnStar. Bottom line: Pursuit is a ride you’ll love to share.

ACCELERATION MEETS EXHILARATION. For a truly invigorating drive, it’s what’s under the hood that counts. Pursuit more than measures up in the engine department, with a choice of two advanced DOHC powerplants. The standard engine is a 2.2L ECOTEC L4 that generates 145 horsepower – well above the norm in Pursuit’s class. GT models get even more muscle, thanks to a larger 2.4L ECOTEC engine that puts out 171 horsepower. Transmission choices include a standard five-speed manual transmission and an available electronically controlled four-speed automatic.
